I went to an event last night for Gavin’s Playground Project. Bill was our DJ and trivia host and wow, what an unbelievable time we had!!! My husband and I made great new friends, killed it at trivia, and had a blast!! I had never planned a fundraiser before in my life. And by that I mean – I had never even BEEN to a fundraiser in my entire life. A total rookie. But, I decided that hosting a fundraising event to raise money for an “all abilities” playground at Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children for 400 people would be a good place to start. In other words, I’m nuts. But, this wasn’t your ordinary fundraiser. I wanted to mark the one-year anniversary of our five-year-old son’s unexpected death – at that very hospital. So I turned to MCM Entertainment. I will tell you right away it was the best decision I made. Bill helped me with things that I didn’t even know I needed help with. He thought of things that I never would have thought of. He walked me through everything and was extremely focused on the details. His schedule for the event was detailed down to the minutes – and for good reason. The entire evening ran like clockwork, thanks to him. Because of Bill, I walked into my own event feeling confident and secure that the night would go well. And go well it did. The music was great. When Bill was on the microphone, he was clear and not overbearing. He worked with the silent auction company I used and was able to slip in last-minute announcements without interrupting his schedule. When he started the trivia – he immediately had everyone’s attention and for the rest of the night had everyone laughing, engaged and even spontaneously dancing!  To be very honest, I never expected to keep 400 people from 6pm until 10pm. But everyone stayed. Everyone stayed!!! And I know that it was because of Bill. People are still talking about my event a month later!!  In the end, over $63,000 was raised for the future playground. I truly couldn’t have done it without Bill and MCM Entertainment.
